Complete the online application and pay the registration fee.
Submit records like birth certificate, immunizations, and any prior school records.
Read and affirm our Handbook, Statement of Faith, and Family Commitment.
Meet with the Director, if requested, to make sure FCS is the right fit for your family.
Students must meet the following age requirements by September 30 of the enrolling school year:
Additional grade placements are determined based on age, previous educational experience, academic readiness, and assessment results.
Students and their families will be responsible for following all applicable Virginia homeschool requirements, including submitting a Notice of Intent (NOI) to their local school division to notify them that their child will be homeschooled.
Fincastle Classical Scholars is designed as a partnership with homeschooling families, providing families with a high-quality classical education through a hybrid model. Families maintain their role as the primary educators while partnering with Fincastle Classical Scholars for in-person instruction, academic support, community, and enrichment.
